Miloš Pojar

Miloš Pojar (1940–2012) was a Czech orientalist, historian, writer, publisher, and diplomat. After the fall of the Communist regime he joined the diplomatic service, helping reestablish diplomatic ties with Israel, and becoming ambassador to Tel Aviv. He then held leading posts in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, and was subsequently director of the Educational and Cultural Center of the Jewish Museum in Prague.
