The results of a intensive ecological survey of Bonaire from December of 1998 through March of 1999, this book includes detailed descriptions of the terrain, vegetation, and species composition of one of the world’s foremost ecological treasures. The authors created a landscape-based vegetation map to quantify their findings: with each unit delineated and characterized on the basis of landscape-forming factors, such as geology, geomorphology, soil characteristics, and vegetation.
