Miguel Hernández was born in Orihuela in 1910. He died of tuberculosis in 1942.

Ted Genoways is the author of Bullroarer, winner of the Samuel French Morse Poetry Prize. He is also the coeditor of A Perfect Picture of Hell: Eyewitness Accounts by Civil War Prisoners from the 12th Iowa.
