The University of Chicago Press Journals Division is located 7.5 miles from downtown Chicago (the Loop), and may be reached easily by the expressway system and by public transportation.

From the Loop
By car, from the corner of State and Madison, head south on State Street for 0.3 miles. Turn left on E. Jackson Boulevard heading east for 0.4 miles. Continue on S. Lake Shore Drive (US 41) heading south for 5.9 miles. Exit Lake Shore Drive at 57th Street and follow the curve to go south onto Cornell Avenue for 0.6 miles. Turn right onto Midway Plaisance. Drive three blocks west and turn left onto Dorchester Avenue. The Press building is located about one hundred yards east of the corner of Dorchester and 60th Street. Parking is available on the south side of the building.
Public transportation from the Loop is also available- by rail on the Metra (from the Randolph Street Station on Michigan Avenue to stops at 55th-56th-57th and at 59th streets), or by bus on the Chicago Transit Authority's #6 Jackson Park Express, which can be boarded on State Street. Get off at 60th Street and walk one block west.
From O'Hare International Airport
Begin on I-90 (John F. Kennedy Expressway) heading southeast for 23.3 miles. Exit the expressway at W. Garfield Boulevard (W. 55th St.) heading east. Continue on Garfield heading east for 0.8 miles. Bear right on Morgan Drive heading east for 0.5 miles. Bear right onto Payne Drive for 0.4 miles. Turn left onto Midway Plaisance 0.8 miles. Turn right onto Dorchester Avenue. The Press building is located about one hundred yards east of the corner of Dorchester and 60th Street. Parking is available on the south side of the building.
