Terms and Conditions of Sale for the Gallaudet University Press

You may purchase books securely online using MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover.

Tax: Sales tax will be collected where required by law. We will add 9% sales tax for books shipped to Illinois addresses. For books shipped to Canadian addresses we add 5% GST. (We remit GST to Revenue Canada. Your books will be shipped from inside Canada, and you will not be assessed Canada Post's border handling fee.)

Shipping and handling charges: For books shipped to an address inside the U.S. we charge $5.00 for the first book and $1.00 for each additional book. For orders outside of the U.S. we charge $8.50 per book. You should allow up to 3 weeks for overseas delivery. Expedited shipping is available and the exact cost of expedited delivery will be added to the order total. Tax will be added where applicable.

You will receive an automatic e-mail response when your order is successfully submitted. Orders typically ship within 1 to 3 business days.

Not yet available titles: If you have ordered any not yet published titles (or if a book happens to be out of stock), those books will be placed on backorder and shipped when available. We do not charge your credit card until we ship the books. If you have ordered multiple books and some are not yet available, we will ship the available books now and the remainder when available, at the same shipping charges that would apply if all were currently available.

Returns: If you are not completely satisfied with any book you buy from us, you may return it within ten days for a credit to your charge card.

All prices are in US$ and are subject to change without notice.

To place an order, you will be asked to provide us with basic personal information. The information collected may include your name, e-mail address, shipping and billing address, or other demographic information essential to completing a transaction and communicating with you. All personal information we collect is stored safely in our secure database. We do not sell, rent, or share e-mail addresses nor will we sell any personally identifiable information to a third party for marketing purposes without your consent.
