I have been with the Press since 1999, and I acquire scholarly and trade books in American and transnational history, including social, political, intellectual and cultural. My list ranges from early America to the twenty-first century and has recently featured Segregation: A Global History of Divided Cities, The Human Shore: Seacoasts in History, and Conceived in Doubt: Religion and Politics in the New American Nation. I am also the Press editor for several series in U.S. history: Historical Studies of Urban America, American Beginnings, and Chicago History of American Religion.

In addition, I acquire and commission new work on the history, culture, and people of Chicago. This list features books in the Chicago Visions and Revisions series and the Chicago Architecture and Urbanism series, as well as related works of history and creative non-fiction. Recent highlights include Rising Up from Indian Country: The Battle of Fort Dearborn and the Birth of Chicago, Hack: Stories from a Chicago Cab, and You Were Never in Chicago.
