Subjects: General reference; copyright and intellectual property; technical communication
Series: Chicago Guides to Academic Life, Chicago Guides to Writing, Editing, and Publishing
I acquire new reference book manuscripts intended for professional, academic, and general readers. I have a particular interest in titles relating to the Reference department's two main series, the Chicago Guides to Academic Life and the Chicago Guides to Writing, Editing, and Publishing, but am also working to build our offerings in the areas of technical communication and copyright law. Aside from such new acquisitions, I also devote considerable time to revisions of titles from the Press's backlist across all disciplines.
Recent projects that I have shepherded to completion include The Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition, and The Student's Guide to Writing College Papers, 4th edition. My forthcoming titles include Cite Right, 2nd edition, The Chicago Handbook for Teachers: A Practical Guide to the College Classroom, 2nd Edition, and Reclaiming Fair Use: How to Put Balance Back in Copyright.
