Nature’s Great Events

The Most Amazing Natural Events on the Planet

Karen Bass, General Editor

On May 29 the Discovery Channel begins the broadcast of a landmark wildlife documentary, Nature’s Most Amazing Events. The book Nature’s Great Events is the lavishly illustrated counterpart to the documentary. Using groundbreaking filming techniques and state-of-the-art scientific technologies, the book and the documentary on which it is based are epic in every sense, charting six seasonal events that transform entire ecosystems and the life experiences of the thousands of animals within them, from the largest mammals to the smallest microorganisms.

The six-part program was created by BBC One, which broadcast it in the UK under the title Nature’s Great Events. The video clips below are from the BBC. We also have a gallery of photographs from the book and sample pages in PDF format. The Discovery Channel has a website for the program.
